Chemistry Details: ISM International School based in Tripoli, Libya is the largest international school in Libya and has been open since 1954, making us the oldest international school in North Africa. Our students study the curriculum of the Republic of Ireland and at the end of Grade 12 they write the Irish Leaving Certificate, the only school outside of Ireland to do so.
We are seeking the following teachers for the upcoming Academic Year:
Classroom Teachers for Grades 1-6
High School Teachers for English, Math, Physics and Chemistry.
Requirements: All candidates must possess an undergraduate degree in a related field, have at least 2 years of experience as international teachers and preferably hold a teaching licence (B.Ed, CELTA, PGCE etc) Candidates should be fluent in both written and spoken English. Candidates should be able to supply at least two up to date and recent references.
Candidates will be interviewed via Skype by the School Director & Curriculum Coordinator and if successful will be required to quarantine within school accommodation for 2 weeks upon entry into Libya. Full support will be provided in terms of household set up, internet, phone set up and groceries
••••••••• Responsibilities: The main responsibilities of our teachers will be to Teach inspiring, challenging and enjoyable lessons Work with other colleagues to constantly share, reflect and improve on classroom practice Follow the curriculum prescribed by the school Work with other colleagues to develop the curriculum Regularly assess students’ work and provide high quality feedback Report regularly and in detail to parents Identify individual learning needs and work with other staff to support these as required
••••••••• Salary & Other Benefits Salary is paid in USD (cash) monthly, on a qualifications and experienced based scale of up to USD1800 Living Allowance of LYD1000 Free fully furnished accommodation and utilities.
