Details: The School
English Time was founded in 1997 in Istanbul. From a modest one center language school, it has now grown into a large scale operation with 60 branches throughout Turkey. We are now looking for qualified language teachers to be employed on a full time basis at some of our newly opened branches in different cities/regions of Turkey. Language Programs
English Time offers both General English courses and English for specific purposes. Many of our branches are also running courses for junior groups and exam study courses for local and international examinations. Private Tuition is also a part of the language teaching services offered by English Time.
Teaching Days & Hours
In language schools throughout the country, learners mostly favour the weekends. Therefore, instructors should expect to be assigned both and afternoon groups on the weekends. Weekday classes are usually conducted in three slots as morning, afternoon and evening classes.
Position offered
Qualified and/or suitable candidates are offered the position of “Instructor of English”. Applicants should possess the following documents;
a) A university college degree preferably in English or related subjects
b) A teaching certificate, such as RSA/UCLES CTEFLA, CELTA, TESOL or similar.
(For candidates who may not have a certificate, we can arrange a local certification course in Istanbul at affordable pricing with a reasonable pay-back schedule.)
Remuneration & Fringe Benefits
a. Full time teachers of English are going to receive a net monthly salary of 6.000,00 TL in return of 180 hours of instruction per month. Lessons can be assigned as classroom teaching, online sessions, private tuition or speaking activity classes due to the needs and preferences of students.
b. If/when a teacher’s monthly workload happens to exceed 180 lessons , which is contractually agreed, an overtime lesson fee of 30,00 TL is going to be paid for each lesson.

c. Full time instructors who will be travelling from abroad to work at English Time can benefit from the accomodation facilities of English Time flats on a shared basis, where the residents are only required to cover the utility costs and bills. Those who do not wish to reside on a shared flat may receive between 500,00 and 750,00 TL rent allowance per month depending on the location.
d. One way flight ticket reimbursement upon the successful completion of the initial 6 months.
(Teachers already residing in Turkey cannot benefit from allowances mentioned in c and d.)
e. minimum 1 day off per week,
f. official status (i.e residence permit and ministry approval)
g. days off during national and religious holidays, which we have plenty in one academic year.
h. Local travel expenses in case any extensive duty may be given outside the course building.

ⅲ. Prepare lesson plans according to the school requirements, have flexible and diverse teaching methods, and can efficiently complete the teaching tasks.

Ⅲ. Job Description for HS A-Level Psychology Teacher
- Plan and teach lessons following A-level, AP or school-designed curricula that differentiate for individual student needs
- Use a wide range of technologies and creative teaching styles.
- Plan with colleagues to deliver effective team teaching when possible.
- Develop assessment tasks following the guidelines and use a wide range of formative assessment tools.
- Supervise extended essays.
- Attend regular curriculum planning and student progress meetings.
- Work closely with the Coordinator to develop concurrency of learning across the senior high.
- Demonstrate a genuine, active interest in on-going professional development, including through participation in professional learning groups in the school, and contribute to Professional Development Programme by sharing recent research or teaching experience.
- Keep up-to-date records of attendance, curriculum, assessment tasks and assessment data.
- Prepare student reports and references, and other reports as required.
- Keep parents informed about student progress.

Ⅲ. Job Description for HS Computer teacher
- Teach AP, A-Level, OSSD or other assigned computer courses.
- Other work as assigned by the Teaching and Research Group.

Ⅳ. Job Requirements
ⅰ. Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Education or the applied teaching position related.
ⅱ. Registered teaching credentials, PGCE, CELTA, or DELTA preferred.
ⅲ. More than two years teaching experience required.
ⅳ. High level of English proficiency required.

Ⅴ. Compensation& Benefits
ⅰ. Monthly salary before tax:
-Teaching position: RMB 25,000 - 40,000
ⅱ. Full payment for winter and summer vacations
ⅲ. Two-year employment contract bonus (approx. one month’s salary before tax)
ⅳ. Free shared apartment or Housing allowance of RMB5,000
