Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
2. Paid winter and summer vacations

EMB Junior Academy is looking for qualified homeroom teachers to serve as a kindergarten to elementary school age teacher. We’re providing warm working environment and helping and supporting you to get along with Korean society.
You will be a home room teacher for our lovely kindergarten students with Korean substitute teachers and you will be teaching mainly kindergarten classes with some elementary classes in the afternoons. Kindergarten programs are structured around the following categories and more: story reading, language arts, art, board game, music, stem etc with fun activities
1. Roles and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons
• Prepare teaching materials ahead of time
• Grade regular homework assignments
• Prepare and create tests and examinations
• Track and report students’ performance and give feedback
• Teach kindergarten students ages 5-7 speaking, stories, arts and crafts, songs, phonics, reading, and writing
• Teach elementary school students through speaking and writing, reading, grammar, and book discussion classes
• Attend meetings, workshops, and special events required by the institute.
• Proctor and interview potential new students and advise the administration
• Conduct parent-teacher- conference 1 per year
• Collaborate with the administration on Parent Orientation
• Teacher’s training: Provided(One week before start teaching, half of the full payment without teaching)
• Age and Class size: Kindergarten : Age 5-7 (10-12 with a Korean teacher)
Elementary: Grade 1-Grade 3 ( 10-12 students)
2. Start Date : Mid-February or at the end of February / at the beginning of March
3. Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
4. Benefits
• Insured with the 4 National Insurances.
• Severance: upon completion of a one-year contract, severance pay which is equal to one month’s salary is paid to the teacher.
• Vacation: 12 days plus National Korean Holidays
• Lunch provided without students and more than 1 hour and half preparation time
• Teaching Hours: less than 6 hours (30 minute class time)
