China introduced a new 'Foreigners Work Permit' wef 1st April 2017.
This applies to all new Contracts after that date.
Foreigners will be divided into three categories: A for high level talent, B for professional personnel, and C for foreigners who are nontechnical or service workers hired on a temporary/seasonal basis. The goal is to encourage A level foreigners to come to and work in China, exert control over B level foreigners and restrict/limit the C levels.

I recently moved to china working on a tourist visa teaching english. I told my company i had a degree even though they did not ask for one the case is i have a fake one.... Not understanding the new laws that are now imposed saying they need to be notarised. Can anyone tell me if and what visa they could arrange for me. Thanks

Brad, are you serious? It’s not a dodgy visa workaround you need, it’s leaving quick before the PSB find out and arrange a deportation center for you. There is a huge crackdown on fake teachers that’s been going on since last year. Google, ‘China crackdown on fake teachers.’

So ... The bottom line is one cannot teach in China with out holding a bachelor degree ??? Is this it ?? So how does one get around this ?? Is there any way to come and teach without holding a degree ?? Even if you have a tefl certificate and experience in tutoring in English maths and Afrikaans and a native speaking English person.
