My name is Leila. Currently I am doing research about teaching foreign languages: what problems do teachers have, how do they organize their workday, etc. If you want to share with your experience, please let me know. I will be glad to any feedback

Well....Obviously one needs to research the topic of any lesson, by using appropriate resources, whether it be online or from your local library...or both. I used to go out of my way, when I wa supposed to be only an Oral English Teacher at university in China. I FREQUENTLY SITUATED MYSELF AMONG studuying students in the campus library,to do research and gather more information. I strongly recommend this strategy, to be self-assured and confident, when you face a class full of students.

One of the greatest challenges is being faced with students who have been taught an incorrect aspect of the language. pronunciation is an obvious example, but there are many others; spellings, incorrect context, incorrect idioms, and incorrect grammar. Whilst in India, the students had been issued with a course book that insisted that the definite article was used with all countries. A common idiom in hospitality is saying that someone who has a day off is having their 'off day'. Unteaching these errors and then reteaching the correct usage is extremely difficult because teachers are held in such high esteem.
