Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance

Details: Adviser needed to work in our 20 International Schools helping develop skills in teaching literacy and/or numeracy. You should be an experienced elementary school teacher.
The International Education Agency (IEA) operates 20 private (fee paying) schools throughout Papua New Guinea.
A number of the schools cater exclusively for Papua New Guinean students while others enroll both PNG and expatriate students.
More than two thirds of teachers are Papua New Guinean and much of the work of the Centre for Professional Development (CPD) is geared towards assisting these teachers to develop deeper understandings of educational practice commonly found in developed nations.
The CPD is situated in the IEA head office at Ela Beach adjacent to the Central Business District of Port Moresby. Other IEA schools are spread over many regional centres. The position of Schools Adviser involves considerable travel.
In general the work involves developing and presenting a range of short and medium term programs to teachers in IEA schools. These programs may be in response to specific school based needs or may be part of system wide developmental plans.
Particular focus for the next two years is likely to be in the areas of child centred classroom management within an outcomes based curriculum, the development of student numeracy and literacy, and the effective use of technology in the classroom.
The IEA curriculum is outcomes based and similar to curriculum used in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada. It can be reviewed here.
Part of the role of the CPD is to monitor curriculum implementation and to coordinate further curriculum development.
Schools Advisers are encouraged to form professional relationships with other inservice training providers from overseas and often present programs developed elsewhere.
Overseas recruited staff are accommodated in houses owned by the IEA and located in an estate adjoining Port Moresby International School, about 10 minutes by car from the IEA office.
The CPD has a well-stocked professional support library which is available to all IEA teachers.
