Salary and Benefits
Highly competitive, tax-free monthly salary USD850which is about 15,000 ETH Birr
ï» Free fully furnished accommodation.
ï» 20 days paid annual leave during the summer time per completed year of service.
ï» Round trip ticket between Ethiopia and country of origin per completed year of service.
ï» Initial 1 year contract, renewable every year on mutual agreement.
ï» 5 days paid planned absence per year.
Required Qualifications
ï» Native speaker of English (near-native speakers considered in special cases)
ï» Minimum BA in relevant field (English, education, linguistics, TESOL, etc.), degrees in other areas considered
appropriate certification/ experience
ï» MA/ PhD (and other advanced graduated degrees) highly desirable and given priority
ï» Teaching experience (>2 years, ESL)
ï» Special capabilities (e.g., ESL management, supervisory experience, IT, program assessment) also highly value.
Main Responsibilities
ï» Teaching up to 28 contact hours per week, plus cover if required.
ï» Preparation of lesson plans.
ï» Marking of homework and class work and tests
ï» Preparation, administration and marking of placement, progress and achievement tests. Assessment and reporting of
student performance.
ï» Development of supplementary materials for core syllabuses or for special courses.
ï» Attending staff meetings and/ or workshops arranged by senior staff.
ï» Assisting with the running of examinations.
ï» Playing a full and active part in the life of the school.
ï» Attending all in-service teacher training events or programs held by the school.
ï» Attend all club activities, extra- curricular activities, special events organized by the school and other related jobs that are included in the teachers job description.

1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
